Position: Junior Maternity Nurse

Location: Central London
Working Hours: live in - 24 hours with a minimum 6 hour break 2 days a week plus 2 weeks of 5 days.

Accommodation: Own room with ensuite
Salary: £240 per 18 hours.

About You:

We are seeking a newly qualified level 3 nursery nurse to assist the head maternity nurse and the family to care for an infant.

You will have a UK government recognised childcare qualification with a keen interest in maternity nursing. You will hold a UK passport and speak fluent English.

Duties - Full maternity nurse duties assisting the head maternity nurse and the parents to care for the baby. Assist caring for the baby with the mother during the head maternity nurse’s time off.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Qualifications: UK government recognised childcare qualification - Newley Qualified Norland Nanny, - Level 3 childcare qualification or similar.

Certification: Paediatric First Aid Certificate.

Enhanced DBS (E-DBS).

Experience: working with newborns and children in a private home or a childcare setting.

Skills: Fluent in English, knowledgeable about Lullaby Trust and NHS guidelines.

Record Keeping: Help maintain detailed records of the baby's care and development inconjunction with the head maternity nurse and parents.

Hygiene: Excellent hygiene practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assistance care for the newborn with the head maternity nurse and the mother ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Monitor and share a room with the baby overnight.
- Follow guidelines set by the Lullaby Trust and NHS.
- Communicate with the head maternity nurse and the mother throughout the booking.

First-time parents are seeking a nanny for when mum returns to work in the autumn, the ideal candidate will be knowledgeable and confident with baby and child development, help baby with all upcoming milestones and happy to offer advice for the baby's care and education.

This is a sole charge position.
Baby will be around 4/5 months of age.

- Location - Central London
- Preference for Live out

About you, must haves -
1. UK recognised childcare qualification, diploma or degree - NNEB - Norland - Princess Christian - CACHE Level 3 or similar
2. Good knowledge of baby and child development
3. Support parents and advise on baby's milestones
4. Must follow Lullaby trust and NHS guidelines
5. Paediatric first aid certificate
6. E-DBS
7. Experience working with newborns and older as a nanny or a nursery nurse.
8. Excellent references

Duties - Prepare bottles and baby’s laundry on arrival. Put baby to sleep, feed during the nights, nappy change etc., record feeds and nappy changes, proactively communicate with the parents about the baby’s needs.

Mum is expecting the arrival of her baby in mid-September 2024 and the family are looking for a compassionate, experienced birth doula to support her through labor and delivery in a private hospital in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

What We Are Looking For:
Experience: At least 2 years of experience as a birth doula with positive references.
​
Certification: Certified by a recognised doula organisation (DONA, Doula UK, etc.).
​
Availability: Flexible schedule to be on call around our due date in mid-September.
​
Skills: Knowledgeable in various labor techniques and pain management strategies, supportive of both natural and medicated birth plans.
​
Personal Qualities: Empathetic, calming presence, good communicator, and able to provide emotional and physical support.
Confident with speaking up to medical professionals on mother’s behalf especially in terms of pushing mother for a quick delivery.
